Some patients experience mild digestive discomforts, such as nausea or diarrhea, during the initial stages of treatment. These side effects often diminish as the body adapts. Initiating therapy at a lower dose and gradually increasing it may help reduce these effects.

While both Wegovy and Ozempic contain semaglutide as the active ingredient, they are approved for different uses. Wegovy is FDA-approved specifically for weight management, whereas Ozempic is indicated for managing type 2 diabetes. Dosing schedules and treatment objectives differ between the two medications.

If you miss a dose and your next scheduled dose is more than 48 hours away, you should take the missed dose as soon as possible. If the next dose is due within 48 hours, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule.
