Is laser hair removal permanent?

Laser hair removal is a really effective procedure that offers a near-permanent solution to unwanted body hair. The heat energy destroys the hair follicles, ensuring those hair follicles cease to work. This leads to a near-permanent stoppage in body hair growth.

But, if the laser heat has only partially-damaged the hair follicle, it can heal in a few years and regrow hair. At our Henderson facility, we administer the laser hair removal treatment very carefully, ensuring all of the hair follicles on the treatment site are targeted and destroyed.

Skincare tips post-treatment

• Don’t expose your skin to the sun for at least 7-10 days after the procedure. 
• Moisturize regularly to hydrate and soothe your skin. 
• Avoid applying makeup to the treatment area for 1-2 days and afterward choose cosmetics that aren’t abrasive. 
• Postpone all cosmetic procedures (chemical peels, laser treatments, etc.) for a month after the hair removal. 
• Don’t shave, wax, or tweeze, so as to avoid infection. Allow the treatment to run its course.

We will provide follow-up checks and maintenance treatments as part of the usual procedure.
