Post-treatment side effects and aftercare
After laser hair removal, you may experience mild redness, swelling, and a warm sensation in the treated area. These side effects should subside within a few hours. Please avoid sun exposure, hot baths or showers, and exfoliating or waxing the treated area for at least 24 hours. You can also apply a cooling gel or cream to the treated area to reduce discomfort. Furthermore, you must wear SPF 30+ sunscreen when exposed to direct sunlight.
How many laser hair removal sessions do I need?
Typically, the number of sessions you need may range from 6-10 sessions, with a gap of 4-6 weeks between each session. Multiple sessions are needed as hair goes through different growth stages, and not all hair follicles are active simultaneously. A laser can only target the hair in the active growth phase, so multiple sessions are needed to target hair in different growth stages. After each session, your hair will grow out thinner and sparser.
