This innovative treatment may help patients reduce weight more effectively by addressing multiple metabolic processes. Potential Weight Reduction with Zepbound

Zepbound is a prescription-only medication approved by the FDA for weight loss in adults who have obesity or who are overweight and also have at least one health condition related to weight. It works by mimicking hormones found naturally in the digestive tract to curb appetite, enhance satiety, and support glucose control. When used alongside proper nutrition and consistent physical activity, Zepbound has been shown to promote weight loss of up to 20% in some patients.*

At our Frisco clinic, we provide comprehensive assessments to determine if Zepbound is right for you and monitor your progress closely for safe, sustainable results.

Zepbound is not recommended for individuals who have or have had a type of thyroid cancer known as medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or who have a rare endocrine condition called Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2). Visit Zepbound’s official safety page for more complete information.

How Zepbound May Contribute to Weight Loss

Zepbound works by activating GLP-1 and GIP hormone receptors in the body. These receptors are involved in regulating appetite and blood sugar. When triggered, they send signals to the brain that can reduce feelings of hunger, slow digestion, and increase the sensation of fullness—allowing individuals to eat less and feel more satisfied. This process may support weight loss when used in conjunction with lifestyle changes.

The medication also helps stabilize blood sugar levels and improve how the body uses insulin, which can be especially useful for people with insulin resistance or at risk for type 2 diabetes. By working through more than one metabolic pathway, Zepbound offers a multifaceted approach to weight management.

What to Expect with Zepbound in Frisco

During your visit to our Frisco location, we’ll review your medical history, perform a physical evaluation, and order any necessary lab tests to see if Zepbound fits your health profile.

If you’re a good candidate, we’ll provide training on how to administer the weekly injection using an easy-to-handle, prefilled pen. The dose is gradually increased under provider supervision to help minimize side effects while improving effectiveness. Most injections are done in the thigh or abdomen.

How soon could I see results?

Many patients notice early changes in weight within a few weeks, especially with consistent use alongside healthy eating and exercise. More noticeable progress usually appears between 8–12 weeks.

Is Zepbound safe?

Zepbound is FDA-approved and was evaluated in large-scale clinical trials. Like all medications, it may cause side effects and isn’t appropriate for everyone. Your Genesis provider will work closely with you to monitor your health and help manage any issues.

How often is Zepbound taken?

Zepbound is injected once per week using a prefilled pen. You should rotate between injection sites like the upper arm, abdomen, or thigh.

What if I forget a dose?

Take the missed dose as soon as possible within 96 hours (4 days). If more than 96 hours have passed, skip that dose and resume your regular schedule. Never double up or inject two doses within three days of each other.
